CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Unlike other CSA programs, this one is based on the number of whole chickens instead of a chicken each week. You pay a down payment of $8 per bird. Then after the chicken gets processed you pay the remaining which will be discounted to $3.25 per lbs. instead of the retail price of $3.75 per lbs.
Typical Schedule is ordering baby chicks in March then grow them out and the first batch should be ready end of May. Once they are ready an email or call will be given. Then schedule a date and time to pick up the frozen whole chicken from the farm.
The Pastured Poultry are in a brooder for 3-4 weeks then out on grass for the remaining 5-6 weeks. They are fed NON-GMO Grower/Finisher Feed.
Due to County Health Board regulations, the frozen chicken must be picked up from the farm. Located just outside of Richmond, IN.
