We all know how chicken math works. You get a few chickens...then suddenly, as if overnight, you've got 20. Maybe you lose a couple and so it's reasonable to replace them with another dozen. On top of that, when you look at your flock it just looks so measly and small and you only see about 25 or so...when really you've got closer to double that.
